Resumen: The work being reported in this paper covers a study conducted lo analyse the static and dynarnic strength of a self-supporting welded aluminium alloy car tanker for the transport of powder products. Finite element calculations, to evaluate static strength, were carried out. The numerical method was validated by experimental stress analysis. In order to study the fatigue strength, real load spectra measured in a instrumented tanker were treated using the rainflow counting method and Miner darnage law
