Resumen: This paper analyzes the results obtained from the study of fracture behaviour by impact of a composite material made up by an unsaturated polyesther matrix filled with solid glass microbeads. The impact technique is used. Special emphasis is given to the effect of the volume fraction of glass-beads and to the adhesion in the particles-matrix interphase. The reinforcing mechanism is identified and the fracture toughness is interpreted as a function of the glass-beads volume fraction.
