TENACIDADE A FRACTURA A BAIXAS TEMPERATURAS DE AÇOS ESTRUTURAIS MICROLIGADOS

Resumen: In this paper CTOD fracture toughness data in the temperature range, -10 to -130°C is presented for Gleeble simulated specimens of severa! microalloyed structural steels used in offshore structures working in the artic region where the design temperature is assumed to be below -30°C. The data was obtained for the heat input values of 3.5, 5.0 and 7.5 kJ/mm in two types of simulated microstructures, the coarse grained heat affected zone (CGHAZ) and the intercritically reheated coarse graincd heat affected zone (ICCGHAZ). From the analysis of the CTOD ductilcbriUle transition tcmperature curves a study is presented of the fracture toughncss behaviour of thc different steels. In a few cases fracture toughness is related with the microstructure of the simulated zone whcre crack propagation and fracture took place.
